According to Texas Escapes.com, For a sizable town (Texas standards), Corinth has little history. It dates from 1880 when the railroad (the Dallas and Wichita) built through. The town’s entry in the Handbook of Texas lists these few facts and the various populations over the years but only since 1970. Corinth is located on both the east and west side of I-35E, the NAFTA HIGHWAY, a very key Texas north/south corridor just north of Lake Lewisville and south of the city of Denton, Texas and as a result, grew alongside the neighboring towns. With a mere 461 people in 1970, Corinth continued to lay dormant until 1990 when the population explosion began. A few families continue to farm the land that they have owned for generations, but most residents commute to work in Denton or the Metroplex.
